September 19 – Presidential Gala Reception
John P. Weatherhead Gallery – Mimi and Ian Rolland Center for Art and Visual Communication6 – 9 p.m.
This year’s gala exhibition will display paintings, drawings, and sculpture by four leading artists that follow the academic and classical traditions of still-life, portraiture and trompe l’oeil. David Jamieson, Melinda Whitmore, Anthony Adcock, and Anna Wakitsch are instructors with the Vitruvian Fine Art Studio in Chicago. Mary Borgman, who will be featured in the Goldfish Gallery, is represented by Ann Nathan Gallery, Chicago. Her large scale portraits were recently featured at The Smithsonian Institute’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. This year’s exhibition is sponsored by Old National Bank.
October 3 – USF Day at the Zoo
In support of the fifth Franciscan value, “Respect creation,” the university is sponsoring a day to enjoy time with family and friends in the company of God’s creatures at the beautiful Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. On the Feast of St. Francis Day, October 4, the University of Saint Francis continues our 125th Anniversary Celebration with a special Mass downtown at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.. The Mass, presided by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, will followed by a reception in the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center. Join us to celebrate 125 years of learning, leadership and service.

The University of Saint Francis Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership presents the 22nd Annual CEO Forum titled “Future of Business: The New War For Talent.” Mike Magsig, Global Sector Leader in Insurance for New York recruiting firm Korn Ferry, will provide valuable insights about gaining and keeping talent in today’s business world. With decades of service in the insurance industry including as president and CEO of The Cologne Life Reinsurance Company and executive at Lincoln National Insurance Company in Fort Wayne, Mr. Magsig has deep experience recruiting senior officers.
