Dani (Vonderau) Kiefer — President

Dani Kiefer
Dani received her Bachelor of Arts in graphic design and photography from the University of Saint Francis in 1999. She moved to Chicago and began designing exhibits and marketing materials for the Field Museum of Natural History. She then accepted the position of senior graphic designer at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where she collaborated with the Chicago Park District and Garfield Park Conservatory to design a city-wide sculpture exhibit and an exhibit with the United States Botanic Garden in Washington D.C., entitled “Plants in Print.” After taking a position at the Lincoln Park Zoo, Dani became the in-house graphic designer for the Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo, where her brand design was awarded first place by the American Association of Museums. When her first daughter was born in 2006, Dani opened her own graphic design business. She moved back to Fort Wayne in 2008 with her husband, Alex, and daughter, Amelia. In 2010, another daughter, Becca, joined the family. Dani continues to work as a freelance graphic designer and photographer for a variety of non-profits and educational businesses, while raising her daughters.

Danielle Collins — President-Elect

Danielle Collins
Danielle graduated with honors in May of 2011, receiving her bachelor’s degree in communication arts and graphic design with a minor in theology. She works for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend as the marketing and communications coordinator at Bishop Dwenger High School. During Danielle’s tenure at the University of Saint Francis she was actively involved in Campus Ministry, Student Government Association and the planning of the Center for Service Engagement. In 2010, she received the Father Tom O’Connor Light of Christ Award from St. Mary’s parish, Fort Wayne, for her leadership and volunteer work. Danielle is excited to be staying involved on campus through the Alumni Cabinet.

 

Deb Brandenberger — Secretary

Deb Brandenberger
Deb is a certified nurse practitioner with Indiana Wound Care in Fort Wayne. The practice specializes in chronic wounds and hyperbaric therapy. She is a graduate of St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Saint Francis Master of Science in Nursing program. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters and their families, and her six grandchildren are her pride and joy.

Deanna Beauchot

Deanna Beauchot
Deanna is vice president of claims, accounting and liability management with Swiss Re Life and Health, located in Fort Wayne. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2000 and a Master of Business Administration in 2003 from the University of Saint Francis. Deanna is working to complete a dissertation for a doctorate in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She has been an active on the Alumni Cabinet for eight years and secretary for two years. Additional activities include 20 years of membership with the Boy Scouts of America and over 10 years with the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. She resides in rural Noble County, Ind., with her husband of 33 years, Tim.

Nathan Froning

Nathan Froning
Nathan is a manager at a titanium tool and die coating facility in Fort Wayne. Nathan graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Nathan is a former member of the USF soccer team. This is his first year working with the Alumni Cabinet. He resides in Fort Wayne with his wife, Kara, and their dog, Peanut.

Cheryl Mills

C. Mills
Cheryl Mills began a career in radiologic technology in 1989 after graduating with an associate degree from Saint Francis College. She has worked as a mammography technologist, an educator and public speaker on breast cancer, and more recently as a small business owner. Cheryl completed a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies in 2003 and a Master of Business Administration with honors through the University of Saint Francis in 2006 to focus on leadership and management. She has worked for the Breast Diagnostic Center of Fort Wayne Radiology since 1989. Cheryl taught Sunday school for nine years, served on the education committee and coordinated the Sunday school attendance program at Leo United Methodist Church for 17 years. She has four grown children and four grandchildren, a Maltese named Mikko and a Yorkie named Maxx. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and dogs, volunteer, read, quilt, travel and garden. Cheryl has served on the Alumni Cabinet since 2006 and is its past secretary.

Rebecca Norton

Rebecca Norton
Rebecca graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She works at Benchmark Human Services as a social worker. She lives in Fort Wayne, with her husband of 38 years and has two daughters. She is currently working on a Master of Social Work degree.

Andy Papagiannis

Andy Papagiannis
Andy graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2006 with a degree in business administration. He played four years of football and one year of baseball for the Cougars. He is a senior associate for Buck Consultants in Fort Wayne. In his free time, Andy enjoys coaching football and baseball at Carroll High School, Fort Wayne. He resides near Churubusco with his wife, Debbie.

Cheryl Rogers

Cheryl Rogers
Cheryl is an assistant vice president in producer solutions for Lincoln Financial Group in Fort Wayne. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and in 1988 with a master’s degree in business administration. Cheryl maintains various insurance industry designations including CLU, RHU and CPCU, and is Series 7 and 24 registered. She resides in Fort Wayne with her husband, Kevin, five children and nine grandchildren.

Kely Sandels

Kely Sandels
Kely graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a bachelor’s degree in 2000 and a master’s degree in psychology in 2002. As a USF student, she participated in athletics and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments in soccer. Through her degree, she has provided treatment for children with autism for eight years and has also earned certification in behavior analysis. She is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) at the Children’s Autism Center in Fort Wayne. A member of the Hoosier Association for Behavior Analysis, she continues to expand her knowledge of applied behavior analysis.

Adam Swinford

Adam Swinford
Adam has been employed by Fort Wayne Community Schools since 1998. The last seven years of his career have been as an athletic director (Wayne High School), assistant principal & principal at Northwood Middle School and currently principal at Miami Middle School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education in 2000. Adam was the University of Saint Francis Distinguished Young Alumnus recipient in 2006 and was a member of the USF baseball team. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, and following college and professional athletics. He resides in Fort Wayne with his wife, Jessica, and two daughters, Reagan and Peyton.

Reneta Thurairatnam

Reneta Thurairatnam
Reneta is a wealth advisor and vice president with the Wealth Advising Group of Lake City Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in management from Huntington University and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in international business from the University of Saint Francis. Outside of work and her activities on the Alumni Cabinet, she is the co-chair of the Parkview Foundation’s Cookin’ Men charity fundraiser, and a member of the advancement committee for the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. She loves to travel, is a self-proclaimed coffee addict and resides in Fort Wayne with ehr husband, Steve and their goldendoodle named Raji.
