USF Alumni Association

There are no annual fees to be a member of the Alumni Association, we only ask that you take the “Back to the Future” approach. Look back to the education, values, and friendships that characterized your time at USF, and contribute, in whatever way you choose, to assuring that future generations of students will have just as valuable an experience.

Career Support

All USF alumni are welcome to take advantage of the benefits offered by the university’s Career Development Center. The Center provides direction and assistance for those changing careers, moving up from their present positions, searching for jobs, or considering graduate school. Resume critique, interview coaching, job search resources and referrals, and other resources can be found on the Career Development Center section.

USF ‘s job board, Handshake, is available to alumni who are job seekers or employers looking for qualified applicants. The site not only helps alumni find available jobs, but also helps them network with local companies and other professionals. Job seekers can now find more than 250,000 employers including all of the Fortune 500 companies. Create a new account at sf.joinhandshake.com. If you have questions about the site, contact USF Career Development Center at 260-399-8055 or careerservices@sf.edu.

Other career opportunities can be found by joining the USF Alumni Association LinkedIn group, where job positions, helpful career-building articles, and networking tips are posted.

Brookside Tours

The University of Saint Francis offers tours of historic Brookside. Formerly known as the Bass Mansion, the summer home for the Bass family has been fully restored, thanks to generous gifts from alumni, friends, foundations, corporations, faculty, and staff.

These guided one-hour tours allow visitors to step back in time to an era when extraordinary craftsmanship and architectural artistry were the standard for wealthy families like the Basses. The restoration also includes the modern comforts of an elevator for access to all floors and air conditioning to accommodate working offices for several university departments. Brookside is not a museum, but rather a working building on campus, housing 12 offices. Tours cost $10 per person (free to USF alumni, faculty, staff, and students from Jan. – Oct.) and are available by advance reservation only. Reservations can be made for Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons. Requests must be made at least a week in advance. Groups of 10 or fewer can be accommodated on each tour.

There are no tours during the month of November, to accommodate preparations for Christmas in the Castle. During December, the there are no private tours of Brookside. The only tours available are unescorted tours during USF’s Christmas in the Castle celebration.
