U Can Crush Hunger
October 24 – November 4
Back for its second year, USF will battle it out in friendly competition with other local universities to see which can raise the most food for Community Harvest Food Bank, USF’s partner in ending food insufficiency since 2008. Last year USF placed first, beating out IPFW, Ivy Tech, Indiana Tech and Huntington University.
Alumni can drop off their donations at the Alumni House and Career Outreach Center located at 3209 Bass Rd. Alumni are also invited to bring their donations to the Alumni House on Saturday, October 29 between 10 a.m. and noon during the pre-football game tailgate, for an exclusive FREE gift only for those who donate!
Badly needed food items in non-glass containers include rice, beans, canned meats and peanut butter. However, any nonperishable donations are appreciated.
Rather donate cash? A donation of one dollar equals four meals per person and also contributes to our drive efforts and competition. Checks and cash donations can be dropped off at the Alumni House or mailed directly to USF with attention to Office of Alumni Relations. Checks should be made out to Community Harvest Food Bank.
