October 3 – USF Day at the Zoo

University alumni and friends are invited to enjoy time with family and friends in the company of God’s creatures at the extraordinary Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. Activities and lunch will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Foellinger Theatre lawn. The zoo will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

October 4 – 125th Anniversary Mass and Celebration Reception

  • Mass: Cathedral of the Immaculate Reception, 1122 S Clinton Street, 2 p.m.
  • Reception: USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry Street – 3:30 p.m. immediately following Mass

On the Feast of St. Francis, October 4, the University of Saint Francis continues our 125th Anniversary Celebration with a special Mass downtown at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The Mass, presided by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, will be followed by a reception in the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center. Join us to celebrate 125 years of learning, leadership and service.

October 10 – School of Health Sciences Alumni Tailgate & Football Package

School of Health Sciences Alumni are exclusively invited to get together with fellow graduates, friends and faculty to enjoy the excitement of a USF football game!

Starting at the NEW Alumni House, a light breakfast will be provided along with pre-game activities. The Green Frog will be on hand serving up beer, wine slushies made with local Indiana wines, and the famous “Blue Johnny Cougar” for purchase. With VIP access to private south end zone seating, SOHS ticket holders will have the perfect view when the Cougars take on Siena Heights University at noon. A buffet style lunch, catered by Shigs-In-Pit, will be provided while you enjoy all the excitement of the game!

Ticket price includes: parking pass, access to the Alumni House, a light breakfast, SOHS VIP seating, and lunch catered by Shigs-In-Pit.

October 14 – CEO Forum “Future of Business – The New War For Talent”

The University of Saint Francis Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership presents the 22nd Annual CEO Forum titled “Future of Business: The New War For Talent.” Mike Magsig, Global Sector Leader in Insurance for New York recruiting firm Korn Ferry, will provide valuable insights about gaining and keeping talent in today’s business world. With decades of service in the insurance industry including as president and CEO of The Cologne Life Reinsurance Company and executive at Lincoln National Insurance Company in Fort Wayne, Mr. Magsig has deep experience recruiting senior officers.

October 17 – “U Can Crush Hunger” and Watch Football

This year Team USF will challenge other local universities in a battle to see who can raise the most food for Community Harvest Food Bank, USF’s partner in ending food insufficiency since 2008.

Working with the Office of Service and Social Action, the USF Alumni Association is offering free tickets to the Oct. 17 home football game against Concordia University in exchange for your cans! These seats will be in the VIP covered Pavilion in the South End Zone.

Tailgating at the Alumni House, at 3209 Bass Road, will begin at 9am and go right up until the start of the game at noon. Don’t wait though, tickets are limited to the first 60 people! Each person must be present to get a ticket. Only one can is needed but more are welcome in helping to Crush Hunger and in friendly competition, beat our other local universities.

November 6 – 125th Anniversary Gala – Art Auction & Performance

President Sister M. Elise Kriss, OSF, and the University of Saint Francis Board of Trustees present the 125th Anniversary Gala on November 6 at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center.

This special evening features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and an inspiring opening-night performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar.” A wide variety of items and fine art have been graciously donated for the anniversary celebration. Proceeds benefit student scholarships and the USF Downtown Campus.
